About DENISE ELFENBEIN
My first photo class in college was in 1996. I began with black and white film photography at my community college in Prescott, Arizona. I would spend hours in the dark room, developing rolls of film in chemical processors and perfecting images with darkroom enlargers. Now I shoot digital.
I was inspired by my instructors to photograph everything to figure out what I loved to shoot and what came naturally. At that time, it was dramatic, fun portraiture and rock bands. Later on, I exposed myself to weddings, events and professional concert photography, earning part time income. Now, I am drawn to photograph close ups in nature and creating abstracts.
Now I'm exploring how I can use my photography in a variety of ways including having exhibitions and selling my cards at farmers markets.
